General Information

At this year's German OWASP day we'd again like to offer a few half day workshops (3-4 hours) for the community.

All topics related to application security are welcome, in particular:

  • “Hot topics” such as (L)LM, AI and, their (in/)security or their use in information security
  • Security awareness / programs for developers, testers, architects and project managers
  • CISO topics, security management and organizational aspects
  • Secure development lifecycle (SDLC), Threat Modeling, Secure Architectures
  • Client application security: browser security and mobile applications
  • Application Security Testing

Slides from the community trainings are usaually not published and there will be no recording for the workshops. If you wish however, the slides may be published under an Open Source License of your choice on our website.
As it is a community and not a commercial training , please don't use a company slide deck but either one from OWASP or a neutral (non-commercial) one. Of course you can introduce yourself and your company on one slide. But avoid marketing pitches; neither on the slides nor verbally. It is important for OWASP's mission to educate users and not to sell products or services.

Please note that we cannot pass data of the trainees to you. First, because this would be against what OWASP stands for. Second, it's legally not allowed (GDPR), unless we ask the trainees which we won't. If it is required e.g. to send before the workshop information to the trainees please get in touch with us and preferably put a comment in the proposal.

Travel and accommodation assistance

For community trainings we unfortunately cannot pay the trainers a compensation but we offer to reimburse one night in a hotel (max. 150 Euros) and travel assistance upon request. The total amount should not be more than 250 Euros per trainer and 500 Euros in total.
Also you'd be cordially invited to the networking event on the 23rd of September and you'll get a free conference pass for the next day (the 24th), for a maximum of two tickets.
